Addiction is a family disease. The impact of addiction on the family unit and those closest to the addict or alcoholic can be devastating and often offers feelings of hopelessness and defeat. For this reason, De Novo provides a program tailored to support the family members and loved ones who are 18 years of age or older. Family members can complete the admission process through our admission department and enroll in one of our scheduled family program sessions at any time. Currently, De Novo offers a one-day session, approximately once every five weeks. Content involves education and life-skills, touching on topics such as healthy boundaries and communication, detachment, grief, self-care, Al-anon, and other family supports.

Though we believe that when the family members heal in partnership with the individual in active addiction that the outcomes prove most effective, sometimes the addict or alcoholic is not yet ready. This should not prevent the family members from accessing services for themselves to address the effects of addiction and for their own well being. We are here to support you when you are ready.
